  1. David Wolfe in food matters is correct a vegetarian diet is superior I know from experience I ate whatever I wanted for most of my life then I was vegan for 2 years and switched back to eating animal products and yet again just switched back to vegetarian and I feel much better being vegetarian. One disadvantage to vegatarian is that you can not gain as much strength and muscle mass. The strongest men in the world eat a whole lot of meat and junk food, but your cardiovascular system suffers from this type of diet. The worlds strongest men can not run far. So which is it you want lots of strength, heart disease and other health problems or a superior cardiovascular system and fewer health problems and a leaner physique. This is what I have learned from my own research and my life dietary choices.

    • Interestingly, Jason, I myself have a very similar experience with my diet, but its completly the opposite….I was meat and potato(a vegetable) raised and figured I was on the wrong path. So I went all veggie for all of 1 year…wouldnt you know it….I would get pretty sick most of the times I had a large (satisfing)amount of dark greens….so I went back to meat mostly, and some veggies on the side. I havnt been sick since I went back to the Non-Starve Diet. NOW Im trying to integrate raw meat into my diet as well, so I can get the optimum amount of nutrients.

      • I was running 80k a week on a vegan diet and felt great maybe you were not eating the right foods. Before we had technology to kill animals we ate a vegan diet. Our intestines are long like a herbavore and not short like a carnivore. Our teeth are designed to eat plants not meat. Before we became the homosapien we were in the age of innocense. Bill talked about this in his michigan lecture. But the world has been stripped of most of its native plant food sources and we do not have a wide variety of food to eat like we once had. Take a look at the japanese they live the longest out of all nations. They eat fish but very little amounts of meat. I am not against eating meat I believe it is good for us in small amounts maybe once a week and the proof is in the japanese people. I still do eat meat on special occasions so I am not a strict vegetarian.
