Soundgarden — “The Day I Tried To Live”

What an ass-kickin’ rock and roll song!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKd2KiW0Olg

I found an awesome acoustic version of this beautiful song on the YouTube. The artist was a great guitar player — but his singing was completely gay. Just couldn’t bring myself to post it here. I’ll just have to settle for the Soundgarden studio version for now – not that there’s anything wrong with that!

    ********

What a great blues/rock band Led Zeppelin could have been with someone like Chris Cornell spitting out the vocals instead of Percy.

    Percy ruined everything.

I sometimes find myself an anarchist, too.

      It won’t work however.

Isabel Paterson made a most excellent argument against anarchism in her book: “The God of the Machine”. An absolute must read.

“Nato protesters arrested in Chicago raid held on terrorism conspiracy charges”

I wonder if our country can hold NATO on the same charges…

    http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/05/19/nato-protesters-arrested-in-chicago-raid-held-on-terrorism-conspiracy-charges/

    Quotes from the article:

“The city has so far failed to produce any evidence or the search warrant affidavit used in the raid,” said Kris Hermes of the National Lawyers Guild.

“When police detained the people, they also seized parts of a beer-making kit, including bottles and caps, and a cellphone, Gelsomino said.”

I prefer the Pimsleur method for learning another language… http://www.amazon.com/Chinese-Mandarin-Pimsleur-Language-Programs/dp/0671790617

Some of my Mestizo friends who used to tell me I needed to learn some Spanish would laugh out loud when I told them back that they needed to learn some English and some Mandarin.

      They aren’t laughing anymore.

I’m interested to see if the content of the movies played will change any, probably not but the name should, from AMC Theatres (American Multi-Cinema) to CMC (Communist Multi Cinema).

Also Jp Morgan Group and The Carlyle Group are among previous owners.

This reminds me of an interview I saw with a Secret Service agent in which he claimed one of the President’s children that he supervised was bragging that they’ve smoked pot in the White House and people his/her age were being locked up for it.
      scum.

      Right on, Penn.

Loved the little rant on State’s Rights, too.

Penn works hard on Sundays. I do, too. It is the first day of the work week and everyone should be on the ball, on their toes, workin’ harder than any other day of the week. It sets the tone for the rest of the work week. Which is of course every day of the week, the month and the year.

“Your young people, attacking the symbols of power that they can see, President, Governors, public buildings. They’re resistant ways that make them feel good, not those that actually accomplish anything.”

Actually I haven’t gone to the movie theatre in quite some, since my children were younger and ever since we had to save up just to go, haha…. now that’s inflation folks, but if I did, I would take a flask and some homemade snacks in my drawers rather than pay 10 bucks for shitty popcorn, but those days are gone, I quite drinking and quite going to movies,I prefer to spend my money and time on much more productive causes.
