We still shoot our guns off at New Year–No problems!

There was a lot of blasting of guns in my neighborhood @ midnight on the 31st too. I usually go out the back door and join in the fun for three rounds, but I was curled up on my big leather reading chair with some hot tea and my copy of Isabel Paterson’s, “The God of the Machine”.

The east side of Downtown really gets slammed on New Year. Lots of bullets coming down and hitting the cars and rooftops. It’s a beautiful thing.

Yep, lot’s of heavy artillery going off here as well. If you load some shotshells with a couple of additives, you can get 40-foot flames as well…very spectacular at night and wreaks havoc on night vision equipment.

You can see those loads (and lots more) at the gun shows. I saw shells there that shot cayenne pepper, fire, chain shot — and a bunch of other stuff. My favorites were the .12 gauge shells with six 00 buckshot + 1 slug. They called them, “Pit Bulls”. I loaded up on those. What a wonderful little invention those things are!

Much cheaper to make you own. In fact, I am literally right now just taking a break from the loading bench and those “Pit Bulls” you mention are actually an old african heavy brush round from the turn of the last century. I am loading those up for 45 cents a piece. The fire ones are also easy to load for about 40 cents a piece, versus a ton they charge from the companies.

I also just finished a bunch of .410 with 5 ea.- Triple Aught buck. To give you and idea of what they do, when they hit an object it is equal to 5 ea.- .357 Magnum rounds simultaneously – hehehehehe.
