Lawmaker wants border closed over swine flu

I have received comments that a border closing would be so people couldn’t come in for U.S. Marshal Law. This doesn’t make sense because a border-closing memo would be out the window if all hell breaks loose in this country. Invading forces taking advantage of the internal situation could care less what a border checkpoint guard tells them. Likewise, if someone here wants to get out bad enough, they will disregard the memo as well. If Martial Law were declared, then the border will erupt automatically and forces coming in and out will not be deterred except by force. The southern border area will be one of the most dangerous places to be under martial law, or one of the most opportunistic locations, depending on what side you are on. I for one can say that I will not care what “rules” are out there if Martial Law is declared. There will only be two classes of enemies, those that try to enforce it and those that try to take advantage of the situation, period!
