"Bombing innocent civilians"? Norton picked a bad analogy. I mean, since when does anyone care about that? Americans have bombed and shot and killed innocent civilians around the world, covertly and overtly, on American soil and off, throughout the entire twentieth century. And it looks like here in the twenty-first century the trend will not be reversed.

Waco, Bill Cooper, Randy Weaver and Family -- the list goes on and on -- all killed and burned and murdered by Americans on American soil.

More Americans are killed by violence and gunfire in America each year than we lose soldiers in all these little wars we've got going on all over the world. Plenty of American children wiped off the face every year through abortions. Where's the war really going on, America?

The last time we were bombed on American soil (911) and Americans got killed, we started a war and killed innocent civilians in Iraq over it, a country that had done nothing to us -- and we're still over there killing them, not to mention now Libya and Afghanistan -- who have also done absolutely nothing to us .

We dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki -- wiping out most of the populations in both cities -- most of them innocent men, women and children.

Americans, and especially politicians and government workers, are no ones to be outraged at the thought of killing innocents or anyone else in any case.

Eleanor Holmes Norton, girl, you can shut yo' mouf, stop talkin' dat trash! Nothing wrong with a few Americans getting bombed here and there, as it might be. Americans have to share in some of the pain and misery they have brought to the rest of the world.

In other words, no one should be surprised when bad things happen to America, inside or outside of the country. We have brought it down on ourselves. We are now reaping what we have sown all these years. None of it should come as any surprise to anyone, not the ecomony, the wars, the abortions, the killings, the beatings, the stabbings, the shootings, the crooked cops and politicians, the corrupt and bankrupt financial system -- none of it should ever be a surprise to anyone.

We're Americans, we are born war junkies. We love to kill. And so long as that is our policy, we can't expect others not to want to kill us right back.

So long as what the government is trying now is only "the functional equivalent of bombing innocent civilians" -- we really shouldn't have a problem with it.

If what we're doing around the world is good for the rest of the world, as we always say it is, then, by God, it should be good for us here in America, too.
