Lots of news from Eagar! We're gearing up for the big order filling frenzy on the weekend and throughout next week! All outstanding orders should be filled by then. Check your mailboxes! We will be e-mailing everyone who we have e-mail addresses for and letting you know when your order has been filled.

The library should be closed by mid-week next week and all of our efforts will go into completing the new studio as soon as possible. Our phone lines will be up again within a month or so and we'll be broadcasting again from Eagar shortly. We will continue to supplement the Eagar broadcasts with others from our studios in Canada and from other new researchers who have recently joined this effort.

A "Ritual" Killing? Perhaps Not
By S. Daily Warren

The manslaughter of a New York man in a Masonic ceremony on Monday, March 8, 2004 could very well be the result of extremely bad judgment during a hazing-type ritual. Or it might not.
William James of Medford, New York was being initiated into the 2nd degree of Freemasonry, known as the Fellow Craft, when Albert Eid, 76, pulled a small caliber pistol from his pocket and shot him in the face. The story told to police was that it was part of a ritual to initiate James into the 2nd degree, described by Masonic officials as a "social organization within the club, involving active members who participate in fund-raising and other charitable activities". Lodge officials are said to be cooperating fully with police and that the ritual gone wrong was meant to inculcate anxiety within the inductee. New York Grand Lodge officials, among others, are vehemently denying that pistols are ever used in Masonic rituals and that the entire tragedy was simply an non-sanctioned accident.
On this point the brothers seem to be telling the truth. I should know: I'm a Freemason. Or at least I was. But according to my broken oaths you never truly leave the order.
In the early nineties I worked with William Cooper of the Hour of the Time and successfully infiltrated the Masonic Lodge of Leeís Summit, Missouri. Having a knack for the historical nature of their rituals and knowing in advance what they were looking for in a Mason, I swiftly rose to the rank of 32nd degree within the Scottish Rite. My exploits become the subject for consecutive broadcasts of the Hour of the Time to a worldwide audience on shortwave radio. Bill thought it necessary to conceal my identity at the time (I have since dropped all such pretenses of fear or caution) and I became a guest on his show under the name of Captain William Morgan. William Morgan was a Freemason living in the 1800's who divulged a number of closely kept secrets of the Craft and was presumed murdered by his vengeful brothers when his body turned up at a nearby lake. The wounds upon the body matched precisely the wounds that every Masonic initiate undergoes in a mock recreation of the death of Hyram Abiff, a legendary and symbolic founder of the order dating back to Biblical times around the building of Solomonís Temple. The broadcasts Bill conducted became part of his incredible expose called The Mystery Religion or Mystery Babylon, and the purpose of my own foray into the dark Masonic world was to confirm Bill's knowledge that the rituals were actually pagan in nature and centered upon the ancient cult of sun worship. In this he was absolutely correct.
I remember my initiation into the 2nd degree, and it had nothing to do with charity or social functions. It was a stepping stone to the 3rd degree, where one actually becomes a full-fledged mason, and nothing more. I was taught the handshakes and the passwords and the secret signs that would identify me to other Masons. I remember being blindfolded and walking in a circle around the lodge from point to point just as the sun moves across the sky. I remember the theatrical taking of my life during the ritual, followed within weeks by the 3rd degree ritual where I was "reborn" into the order. I certainly donít remember any pulling a gun and trying to convince me they were shooting cans off my head.
Now back in the day I really didnít know all that much about Bill Cooper. Iíd read some of his stuff and watched a tape or two of his, and I knew that he was interested in UFO's. I've always felt the way he did about the United States of America, but there's no way I could match the level of his devotion, sacrifice or intensity. I respected him and I wanted to make a splash and get his attention, to be honest. I also wanted to hit the bad guys where it hurt. It worked. Shortly after becoming a 32nd degree Mason I left the lodge forever and went to work full time with Bill.
On the air, Bill asked me a critical question about what deep, fundamental secrets and "truths" I discovered in the Masonic Lodge. It was a trick question, but we both knew the answer: none. I described it as being like peeling an onion; there was nothing in the center. The skin of the onion is the onion. The ritual exists for the ritualís sake alone, period. Masons use the ritual to weed out those who will stay in the 3rd degree "Blue Lodge" from those who will advance to the higher degrees. But beyond that it serves no purpose whatsoever, except as a modern continuation of the pagan rites of sun worship. Their adherence to the very letter of that ritual not only borders upon worship, it is worship. Even the Lodge leader is known as the "Worshipful Master".
And that's my point. This couldn't have possibly been an accidental shooting related to an initiation rite. The rite itself is ancient and a gun would be impossibly out of place. Even the door warden, called the Tyler, carries a sword while standing guard outside the lodge. And Masons are a zealous bunch. It's amazing that those quoted in the news story would even mention things that were not in the ritual, so serious are they about its secrecy. Also understand that from the Antilles to Zimbabwe these rituals are preserved intact, perfectly. Different Masons from different parts of the world (much less the U.S.) never modify the ritual in any fashion, especially in any way suggesting modernization. Their bylaws make it perfectly clear that such a gross infraction would cost that Lodge its charter. They literally read from the same book, the lessons and rituals are coded and someone has to teach you how to read it, and then they are committed to memory under blood oaths never to be divulged outside of the Order, under penalty of death. Thatís how serious they are about preserving their ritual, and since thereís nothing more to the onion than skin (although that skin is the very essence of the pagan religious nature of what they do and who they are) it is preserved perfectly. And according to them it has been for over 6,000 years.
I donít pretend to know what happened that night that James was killed, but I do know it was no ordinary initiation rite. Nobody brings a gun, much less two, and nobody pulls antics like shooting cans off of each otherís heads. The entire ceremony is one of ultimate seriousness, deep concentration and rigid adherence to the ritual.
But I do know this: I have never visited or even heard of a Masonic Lodge that did not include at least one full-time police officer of local jurisdiction, in addition to any number of retired officers. The Lee's Summit Lodge sported five full-time police officers and several retired, and Lee's Summit was a small town back then. I used to get out of traffic violations in Lee's Summit by handing the officer both my license and my local Masonic membership card, and it didn't matter if the cop that pulled me over was a Mason or not - they all knew. I am equally sure (although it would be near impossible to prove) that no sizable police precinct or station in the country is without a Mason or two, from Eagar, Arizona to New York, New York.
I wonder if that fact will have any bearing upon the investigation of this case, or its subsequent prosecution.
Or lack thereof...

I sent you the info on this picture and now some people think this is a fake.  
It appears to me that it was taken against a wall and that the background to the left of Bush has been altered to hide something and a textured background was crudely added in.
This is why someone may think it is a fake but if you study the rest of the photo, the links between the sheriff and Bush, and the shadows it becomes clear that it is an actual photo with a partial background change. 
 
I can only hope that the Gentleman who blamed you for making the photo and claims that you are proving that this site is bullshit reads this.
 First: Study the photo enlarge it. Making a fake photo of this quality would be far beyond the capability of the person who filled in part of the background.
Second: Check the link to the source that was provided.
 
While I cannot fault him for questioning the photo ( as Bill said " Read everything, Listen to everyone, Believe absolutely nothing unless you can prove it with your own research ")
I find fault in him not doing the research and blaming you for posting a fake picture when the link was provided.
I hope that he can learn from this and in the future not be so quick to blame other people because of his oversight.
I also hope in my heart that he is man enough to stand up and admit to his mistake. As we all know Bill would never have hesitated to do so.
 
I must also Thank you and Doyle for all the effort you have put in to keeping things going. It troubles me that people are so quick to criticize you and send nasty Emails when you have done so much.

Thanks to Bill for all the "illumination" that he provided to the flock.  From his treason series, and Mystery Babylon series, to his Behold a Pale Horse, they all opened the curtains for my mind, and pierced the veil, as only Bill could do.  I never knew a more knowledgeable man, which such a burning passion for truth, honor, peace, freedom and a closeness to the living God. You would be in good company with our founding fathers, Bill. I had the honor of meeting Bill in Atlanta, Georgia several years ago at a speaking engagement, and found him to be exactly as he has always portrayed himself, very genuine and personable.  It's a mystery as to why he was taken away, and he is  truly missed, but will live on in our hearts. He's instilled the spirit within thousands around the country, and that will continue to grow and multiply.  His work was not in vain, but truly inspirational. May God Bless you Bill, and all your loved ones, and thanks for everything that you've done, to help so many, that didn't even know you.

Lost innocence

If you lived as a child in the 40's, 50's, 60's or 70's 
Looking back, it's hard to believe that we have lived as long as we have...
As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm day was always a special treat. Our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paint. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors, or cabinets, and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets. (Not to mention hitchhiking to town as a young kid!)
We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle. Horrors. We would spend hours building our go-kart out of scraps and then rode down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times we learned to solve the problem. We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as  we were back when the streetlights came on. No one was able to reach us all day.
No cell phones. Unthinkable. We played dodgeball and sometimes the ball would really hurt. We got cut and broke bones and broke teeth, and there were no law suits from these accidents. They were accidents. No one was to blame, but us. Remember accidents? We had fights and punched each other and got black and blue and learned to get over it. We ate cupcakes, bread and butter, and drank sugar soda but we were never overweight...we were always outside playing. We shared one grape soda with four friends,  from one bottle and no one died from this.
We did not have Playstations, Nintendo 64, X-Boxes, video games at all, 99 channels on cable, video tape movies, surround sound, personal cell phones, Personal Computers, Internet chat rooms ... we had friends. We went outside and found them. We rode bikes or walked to a friend's home and knocked on the door, or stood at the door and called them to come out singing their name louder and louder until someone answered. Imagine such a thing. Without asking a parent! By ourselves! Out there in the cold cruel world! Without a guardian.  How did we do it?
We made up games with sticks and tennis balls and ate worms and although we were told it would happen, we did not put out  very many eyes, nor did the worms live inside us forever.
Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team and they had to deal with disappointment.....
Some students weren't as smart as others so they failed a grade and were held back to repeat the same grade.....Horrors. Tests were not adjusted for any reason.
Our actions were our own. Consequences were expected. No one to hide behind. The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke a law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law, imagine that!
This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers and problem solvers and inventors, ever. The past 50 years has been an explosion of  innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.
And you're one of them!
Please pass this on to others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before lawyers and government regulated our lives, for our own good.
You don't stop laughing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop
laughing.

Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6 A.M. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG). He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA) he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA) he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY) and continued his search for a good paying CANADIAN JOB. At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day, Joe decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in..... CANADA.....

Words for Bill

Oh so many years ago my Marine Dad gave me a tape to listen to, it was a early broadcast of the "Hour Of The Time". I must have listed to that tape a hundred times...and even made five copies of it,(like I have started to do on all my other "Hour Of The Time" broadcasts), so in case the tapes were damaged, there would be another copy...the tapes are now being transferred on c.d.'s. Why?... you may ask. Because they are Priceless! The thought provoking talk, the historical information-dates,times, places, people ("sheople" too), the documentation regarding everything Bill spoke about are all, Priceless!!! Well, I had to know more about this man, William Cooper, so I investigated...re-researched a lot of his research and low and behold the Man was right! That investigation I made furthered my history research because you see, I just knew in my heart of hearts that something just wasn't right in my beloved America. The agony and pain my Dad suffered in Korea (Inchon, Chosin,...etc) and the pain he suffers to this day as well as for ALL the other service Men and Women of then as well as today, has been in vain. Understand that they all believed they were (are) fighting for America. Little did they know that they were, and still are, fighting for the new world orders "elite" to further their agenda of, one world government. I learned that at a very young age as history was always a favorite topic...as well as Hot Rods,  Harleys and hunting with my Dad. The first book read that revealed to me the real truth in history was, "None Dare Call It Treason". What an eye opener. One of the things learned was that the "cold war" was a scam, that there was no way in hell we could have won the Korean war (the "elite" call it a "conflict") because the communists were made privy to all military communication before our Military got it! So at a very young age I learned of the traitors running our country. There is nothing wrong with our Government by the Constitution...but there is everything wrong with our Government being infiltrated by the secret societies, the elite who want to scrap our Constitution and replace it with the u.n. charter and their socialist-communist agenda of a one world order. Mr. Cooper brought this to many of us through his exhaustive life's work. He was willing to put his life on the line....and signed his own death warrant by revealing the secret societies, the secret college, mystery Babylon, etc., to us so that we may collectively work together and decide for ourselves, if in fact, if this is what we want for ourselves and our children. He didn't want it for himself or his children and I don't want it for myself or my children either! Throughout the years I spoke to Mr.Cooper on the air, by e-mail,letters and phone. I tried to contribute what was affordable to help with expenses for the "Hour Of The Time" because he was trying to preserve freedom for us all. Not just for himself and family...but for us all. He could have said "screw it" and stayed in the military and retired with a nice pension, but he loved God, America, Freedom and US too much to just walk away. There is a reason for everything folks. There is a reason why he made it back stateside after the war...and there is a reason why he remained alive as long as he did. If you can't figure it out yet then those who can't are really "sheople" and are probably forever lost and will be the ones marching off to the "camps" reserved for them. I will not dishonor GOD, America, The Constitution for the united States of America, My Father or Mr. Cooper...as well as our Founding Fathers and all the service Men and Women and subjugate myself and Family to the new world order and their agenda of a one world totalitarian socialist-communist government ruled by twelve wise men led by the antichrist. Nope, it ain't gonna happen....I'm a sinner but my Savior has a job for me here...and because I have a Savior in Jesus...THE Christ, and not some apron with a degree, I will always be free. For this earth is just the beginning of a long life in eternity with HIM. When I prayed for some answers and for the Truth in what's wrong in our Land, I believe
that very first tape of the "Hour Of The Time" I had listened to opened up series of doors of revelations...and that sweet voice of William Cooper revealing what was/is behind the "veil" will always stay with me. God Bless You Bill and all your children.

The Second Amendment to the Constitution reads as
follows:
"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
The Second Amendment has been a source of intense political debate throughout American history, even prior to the adoption of the Constitution. It would appear that there were - and continue to be - two schools of thought as to its definition and intent.
It seems clear that the framers of our Constitution sought to protect the freedom of individual citizens to defend themselves, their property and their country. Some of the initial militia proposals called for a "select militia" which would be regulated by the government. These proposals were considered to be potentially dangerous by others, including George
Washington. They were characterized as undemocratic because a "select militia" would have amounted to nothing less than the creation of a "standing army".
Our founding fathers shared great concerns about the issue of standing armies, and this is why proposals calling for government-regulated militias were shot down at the time. The "select militia" was ultimately established and became what is known today as the National Guard. However, the National Guard is NOT the "well-regulated militia" referred to in Amendment II of the U.S. Constitution.
Despite differing positions of people like Baron Von Steuben, a proponent of "select militia", all of the pre-Constitution militia proposals called for what is known as a general duty of all citizens to possess arms. That's right, they called it a general duty.
The second amendment continues on to say that "the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Many academians and special interest groups seem to ignore this part of the amendment - the part which uses the words "the people". That would be
you and me. In other words, it is our natural right to possess a firearm and to use it in defense of ourselves, families or homes.
This interpretation has been challenged time and time again by those seeking to convince average citizens that defense is best left to "law enforcement" and to the military. Back in the earlier times of this nation, it would have been simply unthinkable to surrender your firearms in the hope that someone else would protect your interests. Yet, today, we swim in a sea of special interests, with many powerful and persuasive voices telling us the Second Amendment does not mean what it means. To systematically disarm a population is to place them in serious jeopardy. Our Founding Fathers knew this all too well, which is why they placed prohibitions within the Constitution.
It's safe to assume that these men learned their lessons from the record of history. Home-Rule Ordinances vs. the U.S. Constitution. For the last two years, I have watched the ongoing
battle being waged between a man named Rick Stanley,Denver law enforcement, and the Denver, Colorado judiciary. Stanley is a former Libertarian senatorial candidate for the state of Colorado and has been perhaps the most impassioned, unrelenting and outspoken American in current times on the issue of the second amendment. Denver is one of 76 home-rule municipalities within the state of Colorado. A home-rule municipality, according to the Colorado Municipal League, is one in which "citizens voted to adopt a home-rule charter based on the principle that local citizens should have the right to decide how their local government should be organized and local problems resolved." The purpose of this is to
protect a city from state interference, unless the courts decide that a matter has statewide impact. If this is the case, then the state law is said to prevail over home-rule law.
Home-rule would appear to be a tool of citizen empowerment on its face. However, what happens when a home-rule ordinance conflicts with a state constitution or even the federal Constitution? Which law prevails? For example, if the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution tells us that every American citizen has the right to keep and bear arms, and goes on to say that this right shall not be infringed, how can a home-rule city lawfully enact and enforce a local ordinance that clearly violates the federal statute? Rick Stanley is sitting in a Colorado jail at this writing because he refused to abide by Denver's local home-rule ordinance which prohibits people from openly carrying a firearm. Stanley insists that this ordinance violates not only the Colorado State Constitution but also the Constitution
for the united States of America.
In Section 8 of the Home Rule provision of the Colorado Constitution, (Article 2, Section 6) it
specifically prohibits any home-rule city from making any ordinance that violates a Colorado citizen's rights in the state Constitution. This was affirmed in SB-25, legislation which tells all cities in Colorado - and specifically on the issue of "open carry of a weapon" - that the cities are prohibited from making ordinances that violate state constitutional rights. City ordinances must be in harmony with, not in violation of, the state constitution. So what is Denver's problem with this, exactly?
Stanley was not arrested for brandishing his weapon in a threatening manner or for using it in the commission of any crime. He was arrested for having his weapon visibly holstered. He was exercising his natural right to keep and bear arms in a peaceable manner, a provision which is succinctly spelled out within our Bill of Rights. Rick Stanley's refusal to defer to a home-rule ordinance which he deems unconstitutional (simply because it is) has been a
constant thorn in the side of Denver law enforcement and the Denver courts system. Stanley has also challenged the jurisdictional authority of the judiciary to even try his case. He cited the U.S. Constitution in his defense and was pointedly ordered not to refer to it again by one Judge Patterson. It would seem that the Denver Judiciary is getting a little too big for its britches, wouldn't it?
Incidentally, the Colorado State Constitution Bill of Rights says:
" Section 13. Right to bear arms. The right of no person to keep and bear arms in defense of his home, person and property, or in aid of the civil power when thereto legally summoned, shall be called in question; but nothing herein contained shall be construed to justify the practice of carrying concealed weapons."
Rick Stanley was not carrying a concealed weapon.
The ongoing and escalating debacle in Denver with Stanley, (a successful local businessman as well as a constitutional activist) is relevant to us all. We need to ask ourselves if his situation could happen to any one of us in any state of the Union. Do home-rule ordinances supersede state or federal statutes? Does the Second amendment really apply to every U.S.
citizen or can a local municipality override a federal mandate? How much power do local governments actually possess? If a city or town can enact laws that abrogate state and federal laws, then it is conceivable that within the state of Colorado alone, one could travel to 76 different cities and be subject to differing laws from city to city and town to town.
How confusing is that? Moreover, how can this be in harmony with the U.S. Constitution - the supreme law of the land?
Looking further into the issue of home-rule, it needs to be clear that local governments have limited authority. They do not possess inherent power or authority. Even a home-rule city or town does not have limitless authority to just do as it pleases.
City governments obtain their power from state government. They are confined to dealing with local matters only and are confined within the boundaries of their state constitutions. Home-rule ordinances do not free the people of a city or town from their state constitutions nor are they freed of the provisions of the supreme law of the land, the Federal Constitution.I was curious to know the educated opinion of an academian on this subject, so I asked a professor of political science, Mr. Joseph F. Zimmerman. Professor Zimmerman is currently writing the 2004 Book of the States. He is a noted researcher on the subject of
home-rule and related topics. When asked about the Second Amendment and home-rule, Professor Zimmerman replied:
"You are using the National Rifle Association's definition of the right to keep and bear arms as
guaranteed by the 2nd amendment to the U.S. Constitution. You need to read the entire amendment which stipulates " A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
Excuse me? The National Rifle Association's definition? Isn't that interesting. As a matter of
fact, I've read and re-read the 2nd amendment a number of times and I think it enunciates rather well the spirit and intent under which it was drafted. Call me crazy, but I'm convinced that this amendment says what it means and means what it says. It's a shame human beings invariably feel the need to twist, contort and complicate what would otherwise be a very simple matter. According to Zimmerman, there is more than one definition or version of the 2nd amendment. I'm reminded of a former president who liked to have fun playing with the definition of the word "is". If you recall, "is" does not necessarily mean "is". And now,
there are those who would argue that the 2nd amendment does not mean what it says. These must be the same people who think there is more than one version of the truth.
Zimmerman goes on to say " The Militia was renamed the National Guard by a 1916 Act of Congress. The amendment refers to the minutemen of the revolutionary war period or citizen soldiers. The amendment does not mean you have a constitutional right to own a bazooka, a heavy caliber machine gun, or similar weapons." Zimmerman had this to say about home-rule: ".there is no complete "home-rule" for any local government. If a local government had complete home-rule, it would be a sovereign political entity." So which law prevails and which is the higher authority - a home-rule law or the federal law? The Supreme Court had this to say: "The United States is entirely a creature of the Constitution. Its power and authority have no other source. It can only act in accordance with all the limitations imposed by the Constitution." - Reid v Covert 354 US l, 1957, Supreme Court decision

I interpret this decision to mean that the Constitution is forever the supreme law of the land
and all levels of government are subject to and confined by the Constitutional provisions and
prohibitions of our guiding documents. This is inclusive of home-rule cities and towns all across the nation, including Denver, Colorado, where local government apparently believes it answers to no higher authority than itself. The rights enunciated within the Bill of Rights are clear and they are applicable to ALL Americans. There is no judge in any of these united States of America - including Denver's Judge Patterson - who has been granted the authority to nullify the Federal Constitution or disallow it in a supposed court of law. This type of behavior is not only the pinnacle of arrogance, but extremely dangerous to all of us. It sets a horrifying judicial standard and a frightening precedent because it bears tremendous potential to be duplicated in courts throughout the country if left unchecked.
As American citizens, we possess fundamental human rights, granted to us by our Maker. We possess the right to defend ourselves and those we love, and to defend our property/land. The 2nd amendment is simple to understand and has no obscure, multiple meanings.
If you still harbor doubt about this issue, please consider the unforgettable words of George Washington:"Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the people's liberty teeth keystone... The rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable... more than 99% of them by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands.
The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. When firearms go, all goes, we need them every hour."

BILL OF NON-RIGHTS

The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA, but was actually written by Lewis Napper in 1993. Napper sent it to Kaye, who loved it and sent it along to many of his constituents.

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power toyou if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from.

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all, with no fear of persecution. "I watched "Bowling" tonight and thought it was a very well made film. It was, however, a "propaganda" piece. It was not "news" or pure "reporting" in the true sense. Real reporting simply relates the 5 W's: "Who, What, When, Where and hoW; with no attempt to sway the opinion of the Reader/Viewer. Propaganda has, as its aim, the ultimate goal of bringing the Reader/Viewer into agreement with the beliefs of the author of the propaganda. Mr. Moore made this film with the sole intent of gaining "converts" to his "anti-gun" beliefs.
Now, there's nothing wrong with this. I do it every day. In fact, we all do! It is an admirable thing to do, to try and improve things by making others aware of things we feel strongly about. Though I thoroughly disagree with Mr Moore's views on "gun rights", I commend him for actually taking action on this matter by DOING something through the making of this film. It is a perfect example of the "Freedom" this great country of ours promises her people.
Mr. Moore, however, it also a perfect example of the "liberal/left-wing" faction in America that seek to spread their agenda by appealing to "emotion" rather than "reason." If you doubt this, watch it again and take notice of how often your "heart strings" are tugged upon.
Mr. Moore is in the same camp as Rosie O'Donnel. She had Tom Selleck on her show, supposedly, to interview him about the movie he had just released. But she immediately proceeded to attack him for his NRA (National Rifle Association) membership/support. Shortly thereafter she adopted a child and hired an ARMED BODYGUARD to protect herself and her child. Typical Hollywood hypocrite!
Mr. Moore is also in bed with Sharon Stone, figuratively speaking. Ms. Stone held a press conference after Columbine to announce she was disposing of all her firearms, 3 or 4 as I recall, and asked all Americans to follow her example. She wanted all of us to exist in a safer world. But she continued to employ personal ARMED SECURITY GUARDS. Just another Hollywood hypocrite with that "Do as I say, not as I do" attitude.
Mr. Moore took great pains to equate the NRA with the KKK, and made liberal (no pun intended) use of cartoons to reach the less well educated. And, interestingly, his film cited many examples of the U.S. backing foreign regimes of very questionable character in the past. And, indeed, we have!
Unfortunately, sometimes we had no choice but to choose between the lesser of two evils. But I call this "interesting" because the same historical examples are cited by BOTH sides: those on the extreme left, AND those on the extreme right. Both extremes HATE this country/government and want nothing more than to see its downfall so they can replace it with their own beliefs. One should be wary of both extremes, in my humble opinion.K-Mart, unfortunately, has lost to both sides, hence, all the store closings all over the country. The end result is just that many less jobs for Americans, a lose-lose situation.
Anyway, you wanted my "take" on the film, you got it."

AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF ANGELA DAVIS:
In 1960 an 18-year-old named George Jackson was charged in Los Angeles with participating in a robbery that netted $70. Badly advised, he pleaded guilty, expecting a lenient sentence, and was promptly sent to jail. He was still there in 1971, the year he was shot dead by a guard. Unsurprisingly, he became highly politicized during this period, and since this was California (under the nasty little regime of Governor Ronald Reagan) where the principal voice of black discontent was the Black Panther Party, Jackson became involved with them. His uncompromising campaign for the rights of prisoners attracted the hostile attention of the authorities, and in 1970 he was accused of murdering a prison guard and transferred to the high security gaol at San Quentin.
Shortly after this, Jackson's 17-year-old kid brother, Jonathan, invaded a courthouse, freeing and arming three accused men. They took five hostages, demanding the release of several prisoners including George Jackson, but in the ensuing police shoot-out, Jonathan and two others were killed.
At this point, the sorry little tragedy took a bizarre twist. One of Jonathan Jackson's friends - and a supporter of George Jackson - was Angela Davis, an assistant professor of philosophy at UCLA. A link was established between her and the guns that Jonathan Jackson had used in the hold-up, and a warrant was issued for her arrest on charges of conspiring to kidnap and murder. Understandably she figured that these absurd charges were being trumped up in order to teach a lesson to her and her ilk, so she did a runner. By the time she was caught - in New York - she was on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted List.
WRETCHED OF THE EARTH
Frantz Fanon (1925-61) was a Martinique-born black psychiatrist and anticolonialist intellectual; The Wretched of the Earth is considered by many to be one of the canonical books on the worldwide black liberation struggles of the 1960s. Within a Marxist framework, using a cutting and nonsentimental writing style, Fanon draws upon his horrific experiences working in Algeria during its war of independence against France. He addresses the role of violence in decolonization and the challenges of political organization and the class collisions and questions of cultural hegemony in the creation and maintenance of a new country's national consciousness. As Fanon eloquently writes, "[T]he unpreparedness of the educated classes, the lack of practical links between them and the mass of the people, their laziness, and, let it be said, their cowardice at the decisive moment of the struggle will give rise to tragic mishaps."
Although socialism has seemingly collapsed in the years since Fanon's work was first published, there is much in his look into the political, racial, and social psyche of the ever-emerging Third World that still rings true at the cusp of a new century. --Eugene Holley, Jr.
